Information For Arriving At Your Tour Departure Point
Our tour begins at the Hotel Cour d’Alsace in the village of Obernai just 20 minutes south of Strasbourg. The easiest way to arrive at the hotel is to take a taxi either from the airport or the main train station in Strasbourg. You will be reimbursed for the cost of this taxi which should be about $60.
Strasbourg has many flights daily from many European capitols. If you are flying from the U.S., you will probably be connecting through either Charles de Gaule in Paris or the Frankfurt airport. If you are arriving by train: Strasbourg lies on the main railway line between Frankfurt and Paris.
If you are arriving from Frankfurt, there a few direct express trains each day which only take about 2.5 hours. Trains from Paris-Est station depart more frequently but take about 4.5 hours.
Official check-in time at the hotel is 2:00 PM, though our rooms are usually available earlier. The Hotel Cour d’Alsace is situated directly in the village center so that you may explore town in the afternoon at your leisure. At 6:30 PM your group will meet for a welcome refreshment before dinner. Here you will be introduced to your guides and have a chance to hear more about your trip.
