Information For Arriving At Your Tour Departure Point
Our tour begins at the lovely Hotel Cenobio dei Dogi in Camogli, just 20 miles south of Genoa. Camogli is most easily reached by train via Genoa in the north or Pisa in the south. The most convenient arrival airports are Genoa or Milan.

If you are arriving at the Genoa airport, it is only a 25 minute taxi ride, directly to our hotel in Camogli. This journey should cost around $100.

From the Milan Central Railway Station, take one of the express trains to the Genoa Porta Principe Station. These trains depart hourly throughout the day and the journey to Genoa takes approximately two hours. Trains towards Camogli depart from Genoa almost every hour and the journey is about 20 minutes. Or, you may take a taxi directly from the Genoa station to the hotel in Camogli. This will cost about the same as the taxi mentioned above. It is always best to ask your conductor on the Milan/Genoa train when the best connection for Camogli departs Genoa and from what track.

If you are arriving from Rome, there are certain trains which stop in Camogli on the Rome/Genoa line. It is always best to inquire at the train station in Rome for these trains as this will allow you to avoid tedious layovers. The direct journey from Rome to Camogli is about five hours.

The Hotel Cenobio dei Dogi in Camogli is only 200 yards from the railway station directly on the water on the southeast end of town. If you have a lot of luggage, you may wish to take a taxi. If you choose to walk the hotel is located down the steps, directly across the street from the railway station.

Important Note: If you are arriving at Malpensa Airport in Milan and wish to transfer to Milan’s central railway station, you have three options. One: Taxi (cost approx: $115). Two: Buses leave every half hour to Milan Central station (cost approx: $15 per person). Three: Train service from the airport to Milan North station (cost approx: $8 per person). This train does not stop at Milan Central station where all trains to Genoa depart from. You must switch to a subway for three stops to make the connection to Milan Central.

We Look Forward To Seeing You In Camogli!
