Information For Arriving At Your Tour Departure Point
Our tour begins at the lovely Castle Hotel Waldhaus in Sils Maria, Switzerland. Tranquil Sils Maria lies just 10 miles south of St. Moritz at the southern end of the Engadine Valley.
St. Moritz is most easily reached by train. It is a spectacular 3.5 hour rail journey from Zurich to St. Moritz. Trains depart Zurich almost hourly. If you call the Waldhaus in advance with your train arrival time, a private van will await you at the St. Moritz station to transport you and your luggage to our hotel which is perched high upon the hill overlooking Sils Maria and the lakes of the Engadine.
Official Check-in time at the hotel is 2:00 PM, though our rooms are usually available earlier. You may spend the afternoon exploring the village below or simply relax and enjoy the extensive and luxurious facilities of the Waldhaus. At 6:30 PM, your tour group will meet for a welcome refreshment and dinner. Here you will have a chance to get acquainted with your travel companions.
